ec@shyychina.comThe Travelling Grate delivers high efficiency, reliable operation, and high throughput for iron ore pellet plants.

In a travelling grate pellet plant, the travelling grate conveys green pellets on a moving grate bed through multiple controlled thermal zones, including drying, preheating, and oxidizing sections.
The system directs hot gases recovered from the rotary kiln and annular cooler through the pellet bed, enabling efficient gas–solid heat exchange. This process ensures uniform temperature distribution and prepares the pellets for stable and efficient firing in the rotary kiln.

Configured to match plant capacity and process requirements
Travelling grate machines support multiple pelletizing process routes, such as oxidation pelletizing, metallized pellet production, and low-temperature reduction.
Accordingly, the key differences lie in the required process atmosphere and thermal design.
The travelling grate handles efficient drying and preheating, while the rotary kiln ensures uniform high-temperature firing. Together, this combination delivers excellent fuel efficiency and pellets with high compressive strength.
Yes. The travelling grate design allows machine dimensions and process configurations to be customized to match the required plant output.
The travelling grate uses high-nickel and high-chromium heat-resistant alloy steel to resist oxidation, deformation, and thermal fatigue under harsh operating conditions.
